• <br />APPENDIX V <br />PROPOSED MONITORING PROGRAM <br />PROJECT OBJECTIVES <br />o To provide information to predict probable hydrologic <br />consequences (PHC) of backfill discharges to surface <br />and groundwater resources. <br />o To provide data to refine PHC predictions and allow <br />mitigation measures to be designed if required. <br />ANTICIPATED MONITORING REQUIREMENTS <br />o Flow measurements and field chemistry measurements of <br />temperature, pH and conductivity on a biannual basis <br />at discharge sites where flow is measurable and exceeds <br />5-10 GPM during low flow periods (August-Sept). Diffuse <br />discharge areas may be monitored at a common collection <br />point. <br />o Collection and analysis of water quality samples at <br />selected discharge sites on a biannual basis.
