Exhibit E
Reclamation Plan
a) Type of Reclamation

At this time the County plans to develope the affected area
into an agricultural/range site.
Due to its location and surrounding agricultural uses the
County feels a range type usage would fit the future
environmental needs of the surrounding area.
b) Grading
Final grading for reclamation would consist of sloping pit
walls to a 3:1 horizontal vs. vertical and spreading
overburden as required in b-12 inch thick lifts. The grading
operation for reclamation would follow gravel extraction.
c) Seeding
Seeding of the pit wall slope areas and pit floor will be
accomplished as per the recommendation of the Soil
Conservation Service seen in Exhibit D. Seeding dates would
occur in late fall from October ~n to November 10, or before
ground freezes.
d> Fertilization
The County would follow the recommendation of the Soil
Conservation Service in the amounts and types of fertilizer
to be applied to the affected area. Initially the County
would attempt to seed the topsoil replaced during grading
operations. If soil quality proved to be unworthy of
supporting native type vegetation, fertilizer would be
applied as per the recommendation of the SCS.
e> Revegetation
Revegetation of pit wall slopes and the floor of the pit will
be accomplished as per the recommendation of the Soil
Conservation Service. Broadcast seeding will be employed
during planting operations.
Er.isting shrubs in the 30 foot buffer zone will be left in
place.
The County's intent is to return the site to
range/agricultural use. Slopes will be graded so that
livestock can traverse the area.
