varied during the course of the surveys. During the early surveys numbers of migrating <br />birds was high. By the last survey many migrants had moved on and numbers of <br />breeding pairs was higher. Both the density and diversity of birds observed was what one <br />would expect for the various habitat types found in this area. (See Table 1) <br />Threatened & Endangered, Sensitive and Management Indicator Species <br />There were no T& E species observed in the study area. There is no suitable habitat for <br />any of the federally or state listed species. The only Sensitive species observed was the <br />olive -sided flycatcher. Elk and red -naped sapsuckers were the only MIS observed in the <br />area surveyed. These species are discussed in the Findings section of this report. <br />
