EXHIBITS
The following are the required
Limited Impact Permit application by the
Inc. of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
F,U ;, u i 1980
A~11i~tr0 LAPID RECLA~~A 0~J
exhittbtrsD~t3~f~`~atu~a', Reso:~rces
Pioneer Sand, Co.,
The proposed location is approximately i mile
south of a location approved by the Mined Land Reclamation
Board on May 29, 1980. It is our desire to close and reclaim
the present location, as soon as receiving approval for
the new area.
It is necessary to move locations, because of an
error in engineering information as to the quantity and
quality of gravel at the present location. The gravel is
stratified with thick layers of clay, which has made the
extraction process too expensive to be economically feasible.
Additional testing has shown the proposed area to have the
quantity and quality of gravel needed. The test indicates that
the proposed area has high quality gravel to a depth of
thirty-seven feet, with an estimated usable quantity of
500,000 tons.
EXHIBIT A - LEGAL DESCRIPTION
The subject property is a 9.83 acre parcel labeled
as tract A on the mining plan map. The area labeled as
tract B should not be considered at the present time, but
will be reserved if it is ever desired to convert to a
regu:Lar permit.
The legal description of tract A is as follows:
That portion of Section 27, Township 17 South, Range 65 West
of the 6th P.M., E1 Paso County, Colorado, more particularly
described as follows:
TRAC7' "A"
Commencing at the Northeasterly corner of said Section 27,
thence Southerly ;along the Easterly line of said Section 27,
a distance of 1535.00 feet to the point of beginning, thence
continue Southerly along said Easterly line 350.00 feet;
thence angle 90° Westerly, a distance of 704.00 feet; thence
angle 90° Northerly, a distance of 800.00 feet; thence angle
90 Easterly, a distance of 404.00 feet; thence ang1eo90°
Southerly, a distance of 450.00 feet; thence angle 90
Easterly, a distance of 300.00 feet to the point of beginning
and containing 9.83 acres more or less.
