RAILROAD MAINTENANCE BUILDING <br />This building has an impervious concrete floor and a large concrete floor sump that <br />contains leakage or spillage during routine operation and maintenance of Railroad <br />locomotive and cars. The sump water is pumped to a Monarch Oil Separator unit. Rack <br />mounted 55 gallon oil and lubricant drums aze also present in this building. There are <br />metal trays under each spigot to catch any leakage or spillage. <br />USED OIL HEATER TANKS <br />There aze two tanks for the storage of used oil. This product is used to fuel oil heaters, <br />they are; <br />250 gallon tank located at the sample building and is on a concrete pad with <br />foundation walls sufficient to contain any leakage or spillage of product. <br />2. 1,000 gallon tank located on a stand near the Dozer Shed at the refuse disposal <br />area 2-3. [t is surrounded by an earthen berm sufficient to contain any leakage or <br />spillage. <br />5. COUNTER MEASURES <br />if Deserado Mine experiences a spill, top priority will be given to containment and <br />removal of the product that has entered any body of water or tributaries. Contractor <br />assistance will be employed to pump large spills into tanker trucks and disposed of in an <br />approved location. <br />The following materials will be used to contain and absorb spilled material and to <br />neutralize or dilute the product. <br />Aluminum Sulfate -ENACT 7783 NALCO Product (Use for Emulsion Oil Spills in <br />underground workings. <br />Zymeflow Enzyme Based Grease Predigester -United Laboratories Product 655 (Use for <br />Emulsion Oil Spill recovery, surface or underground. <br />BOYCO OII, Absorbent <br />Straw <br />Rags <br />Powdered Limestone (Calcium Carbonate) <br />
