CHAPTER C: MINE OPERATION PLAN
1.0 INTRODUCTION
All references to mining in this chapter have been rendered
obsolete due to reclamation of all sites.
Contained in the following sections of this chapter are the
modified 5-year operations plans for the Meeker Area Mines. The
Northern No. 1 (FF Seam), and Rienau No. 2 (G Seam) Mines will each be
addressed in an individual operations plan. Operation plans for the
Rienau No. 2 (G Seam) mine are included as they pertain to mine develop-
ment of additional federal coal. Surface facilities (i. e., tipple,
bath house, etc.), drainage and sediment control, and haul road design
have been previously submitted and approved by OSM (June 1, 1979) and
CMLRB (May 31, 1979 under Permit No. 78-345). Operation plans and
surface facilities for the Northern No. 1 (FF Seam) Mine are included
in this application. These plans will include mining of new Federal
coal leases from existing leases at fee coal operations as permitted
on July 6, 1979 by CbII.NB under Permit No. 79-9. Where facilities are
joined between mines, sections will indicate their relationship.
A map, Erd~ibit C-4a, delineating the boundaries of the mine plan
area, permit area and area of surface disturbance, has been pre-
pared and is enclosed. At this point in time, Northern Coal does
not anticipate utilizing the increnental approach to bonding.
•
C-1 ~ 5 ~~9
