<br />EXHIBIT "B" <br />SITE DESCRIPTION <br />(a) Description of the vegetation and soil characteristics. <br />Attached is a copy of a Soil and Vegetation Report prepazed on February 18, 1997 by the Fremont <br />County Soil Conservation District for a permit request in this immediate area at that time by the <br />same owner. Vegetation consists primarily of blue grama, red three-awn, cheatgrass, ring muhly, <br />and sand dropseed, with minor amounts of various forbs and shrubs. <br />Copies of the information in the 3 soil types - Cascajo -very gravelly sand loam, 10 to 40 percent <br />slopes; Fort Collins loam, cool, 2 to 5 percent slopes; Kim Cascajo complex - 2 to 15 percent <br />slopes, was supplied by the Fremont Count Soil Conservation District. <br />(b) Permanent man-made structures within 200 feet of the affected land. <br />An electric power line owned by San Isabel Electric Association, Inc. runs basically north and south <br />across some of the east part of the pit. An agreement letter from the company is included in Exhibit <br />"L" -Permanent Man-made Structures. <br />(c) Water resources in the area of operation. <br />This will be a dry pit operation with no effect on water resources of the area. Hardscrabble Creek <br />lies to the west of this operation, but the operation will be so designed that no water will discharge <br />into it. A Stormwater Discharge Permit will not be required, due to the nature and design of the <br />operation. <br />(d) The applicant believes that this operation will have no affect on wildlife in the area on this or <br />other land that they own. <br />B-1 <br />
