~~~ ~
. ~~
6.3.3 -Exhibit C
(1) Mining will continue from the existing 2 acres on site
into the expanding area (4.5 acres)
(a) The mine will operate 175 days a year +/-.
Tents, trailers, etc. will be removed in off season
(winter). If patent is obtained may need to leave some
structures on site.
(b) The site has a good layer of top soil varying from
4 to 7 inches. In 1954 the Forest Service stripped a
considerable amount of top soil off the site and piled
it up probably for reclamation, the mine has used some
of it for reclamation on areas that have been previously
stripped by the National Forest. All new areas are being
excavated, the top soil will be salvaged and any new
stock piling will be stabilized with the vegetation cover
until it is used in reclamation. A major portion of the
bonded area is not in the gemstone alluvium fan so
consequently this will not be excavated. The maximum
amount of excavation disturbance will not exceed one
.acre at a given time over the next five years, exposed
areas will tighten up. 'The reclamation will take place
on a yearly basis and will be seeded back by
recommendations from soil conservation.
The salvage top soil/growth medium will be stockpiled
in the location as shown on Exhibit E map.
(c) The gem bearing grounds and holders are from the top
down no over burden needs to be removed to reach
deposit.
(d) 2 to 12 ft
