File No. 79-9 <br />Staff presentation was made by Reclamation Specialist, Jim Herron, regarding <br />an amendment for disposal of refuse from the Northern Coal operation. Staff <br />requested the Board delegate authority to the staff to approve the amendment <br />when .all questions have been answered regarding design; durability, stability, <br />etc. <br />It was MOVED that the Board delegate the authority to the staff to make the <br />final accessment and approval of the provisions For disposal of refuse from the <br />Northern Co.31 Mine, SECONDED and PASSED. <br />AGENDA ITEP1 29 - MID-CONTINENT RESOURCES INC., File No. 77-419 <br />Staff presetation was made by Reclamation Specialist, Jim Herron, regarding <br />technical r~=_visions for sediment control for mines 3, 4 and 5. Mine 5 technical <br />revision re~luires Board ratification of previous delegation of authority to the <br />staff, staff approved, so MOVED, SECONDED and PASSED. On Mines 3 and 4, staff <br />recommends ;approval of these sediment control systems, So MOVED, SECONDED AND <br />PASSED. <br />AGENDA ITEPf 24 - GEARS. No File No. <br />Staff presentation was made by Reclamation Specialist, Bob Campbell, regarding <br />an unpermitted operation, gravel pit, in Gunnison County, staff recommending <br />a cease and desist. <br />It was MOVED that the Board determine that this is a mining operation, with <br />a letter from the staff to Gears indicating that a permit is necessary, and a <br />cease and desist be issued, and that a staff report be made to the Board at the <br />September meeting. SECONDED and PASSED. <br />AGENDA ITEM 25 - PHILLIP GLAZE <br />StafF presentation was made by Reclamation Specialist, Bob Campbell, regarding <br />an unpermitted operation, gravel pit, one-half mile west of Gypsum in Eagle <br />County. Stecff recommends a cease and desist. <br />It was MOVEII that Phillip Glaze operation, be found to be in violation of operating <br />without a permit and that a cease and desist be issued effective immediately. <br />SECONDED and PASSED. <br />AGENDA ITEPI 26 - DIAMOND J. COPIPANY <br />Staff presentation was made by Reclamation Specialist, Bob Campbell, regarding <br />an unpermitted operation, gravel pit, two miles east of Gypsum in Eagle County. <br />Staff recommends a cease and desist. <br />It was MOVED that the Diamond J. Company be found to be in violation of operating <br />without a permit and that an immediate cease and desist be issued. <br />SECONDED and PASSED. <br />
