~ f The Division received a comment letter from Susan Steers, in which she states "Our own
well source may be interrupted because of their (Agile Stone Systems) activities."
F~ 'y~JDetermine the location of her well and demonstrate to the Division that the pumping of your
11 proposed well and/or blasting will not interfere with the quantity or quality of water at her
G~y ~ i,/ 6'yj~~'.'ell to anon. Provide a discussion of how this water
will be controlled to prevent pollution of surface and ground water.
GG ~^'
0. The Division learned at the pre-operation inspection that the intent of the application was to
~~ ~ include Gravel Expansion Blocks 1 and 2 and Granite Quarry Expansion Blocks 1 and 2 in
the application as land to be affected and that these areas are phases of the total mining
operation. It was staled that it was not the intent to bring these areas into the permit by
amendment at.a later date as previously understood by the Division. If these areas are part of
the application affected land as phases of the mining operation provide appropriate
discussion in all appropriate exhibi[s and change the Mining Plan Maps to show a phased
mining operation. If these mining areas are not to be a part of the present application,
remove them from the maps to avoid confusion. If they are to be added at a later date, an
e amendment could be filed at that time.
~c>t~ During the pre-operation inspection it was learned that the location of the south overburden
1 ,I,~b; and topsoil stockpiles will be changed. Please provide a discussion of the new locations in
t 7M` the mining plan and show them on the Mining Plan Map.
5
