The County seeks to mine from this 9.4 acre area. <br />The West side of the pit area will be used to stockpile material. <br />The riverbed has no permanent vegetation. The first bench above the <br />river has a 65 percent cover of blue grama, green needlegrass, and <br />sand dropseed. <br />SUGGESTEDSOLUTION(S)Reclamation of the site when use of the pit is ter- <br />minated. <br />After mining is completed, the pit area will be smoothed to a 4:1 <br />slope or flatter to allow natural reclamation by river flow+ to take <br />place. The river banks and any disturbed areas will be smoothed to a <br />4:1 slope or flatter with the topsoil replaced on top. A manure mu c <br />of 30 tons per acre of chunky size will be spread over any disturbed <br />areas above the riverbed. A grass mixture o per acre augin <br />sideoats grama, 4.0 PLS per acre Arriba western wheatgrass, 2.5 PLS per <br />acre Llano yellow indiangrass, and 2.0 PLS per acre Goshen prairie <br />sandreed will be drilled over all disturbed areas above the riverbed. <br />A three wire fence will be constructed around this area to allow <br />revegetation. <br />NOTE: Seed will be ordered and planted by Pure Live Seed pounds PLS . <br />The exact dimensions of the disturbed area will need to be measured to <br />determine the correct amount of manure and seed. <br />* Cheek aPP,PPiiare earegery <br />
