• r i •
~1
,Zi ~
ADDITION TO EXHIBIT C - Mining Flan
The information entered here mill be in the same order as
noted in your letter of Nov. ~_, 1°88.
1.
It is not planned to disturb the topsail in the
stocl::pile area. This area will not e;:ceed one acre and
probably about a half acre in sire. If too much gravel is
left on the area to hinder reclamation a seed bed will be
prepared before seeding. See E::hibit D No. 4. This pit
will serve a sparsely populated area and may not be used
over once a year. Gravel will not be stocl::piled from year
to year.

(a) This is a dry creel:: bed and has running water only
after heavy rains, and then only for short period of time.
The creel:: bed is sand and gravel and does not support
vegetation. E::ploration shows the gravel depth to be si:; to
eight feet. The material does not have rocl::s and so will
not bae graded. It is used in the road maintenance iust as
it comes from the creel;. It is usually loaded directly from
the creel:: bed with a large front-end loader. This machine
has large rubber tires and is hinged in the middle. The
machine dumps into the county dump trucks which haul the
material to the maintenance site.
(b) The river or creel:: is dry and no diversion is needed.
It will not be necessary to secure a 4~~4 permit.

The nearest bridge is a small bridge or culvert about
one and a half miles downstream from the pit. See the l:it
Carson County road map where the county road crosses the dry
creel::.
The graded or maintained road does not go past the pit.
From the pit on is a trail road to a house about a half
mile WPSt in Lincoln County. There is no bridge crossing
the creel; in Lincoln County for a distance of two and a half
miles. The creel:: can be crossed anywhere with a 4-wheel
drive vehicle and in many places can be crossed with a
-wheel drive.
