The proposed Phase II extraction would require the removal of several <br />mature cottonwood trees that were not mentioned in your application. <br />Please alter the affected land boundary to represent the area that will <br />not be mined that includes these trees or address the replacement of <br />these trees in your reclamation plan. <br />D 6 Even though the site was covered with 14-18" of snow, the inspector <br />observed the tops of many seedling cottonwoods and possibly some <br />willows. Address the re-establishment of the small trees and shrubs that <br />will be destroyed during mining activities.
