5.0 SURFACZ~WATER QUALITI'
Samples were collected from active sites S1, 001, 002, 006, O1 ],and 013 during 1994.
Analytical results for these surface water samples are presented in Table C-1 (page C-18). The more
frequently measwed parameters are presented in the first 4 pages with the less frequent measwed
parameters on the next 2 pages. NPDES sites 003, 005, 008, 009, 010, 012, 014, O15 and 016 had
no discharges during 1994. Therefore, no data are presented.
5.1 TSS
Figures C-5, C-7, and C-9 present plots of total suspended solids (TSS) versus time for
the sites 001, 002, and 006, respectively. Plots of flow versus TSS for the same sites are presented
in Figures C-6, C-8, and C-10.
• Two TSS values were measured for site S 1 (Flume Gulch) in 1994. These TSS values
are 77 mg/1 and 13 mg/I. A figwe is not presented for TSS for S1.
Sites 001, 002, and 006 were observed to have overall TSS values of less than 20 mp~l
during 1994. The flow versus TSS relationships are presented in Figures C-6, C-8, and C-10.
5.2 CONDUCTIVITY
Conductivity of water for site Sl has been fairly steady in 1993 and 1994 (Figure
C-12). The conductivity versus time plot for site NPDES 001 shows lower values of conductivity
during spring due to increased runoff and a rise in values rapidly afrer the spring melt for 1994
(Figure C-12). The flow versus conductivity plot for NPDES site 001 shows the above relationship
u
?R-6~
5-1 (Revised 09/21/95)
