TABLE 1 <br />Explanation for Soils and Bedrock Map <br />• <br />SNYDER QUARRY <br />Note: No native topsoil on site - All areas within limits of <br />site have been stripped. <br />Map Unit <br />Description <br />1 CL Native weathering bedrock of upper Manitou <br />Formation (Omu) <br />CL - Claystone, very silty, slightly sands, <br />trace of gravel, brownish ced, thickness <br />varies from 2' to 8'. <br />2 CL Native weathering bedrock of Harding Formation <br />(Oh) <br />CL - Claystone, silty, highly plastic:, gray to <br />yellow with thin sandstone laye~:s, <br />thickness 0' to 5'. <br />3 SM Fines from washing operations dumped as fill <br />~ • SM - Sand, coarse to very fine, very silty, <br />slightly plastic, light reddish brown, <br />variable thickness 2-3' to 20-2i'. <br />4 SM Native and disturbed soil (mainly distw:bed <br />native topsoil and subsoil, but includes <br />mixtures of native topsoil, subsoil and <br />artificial soil derived from qu,irry <br />operations). <br />SM - Sand, coarse to very fine, silt:l, light- <br />moderate gravel, moderate cobbl~as, <br />angular-subangular, red to reddish brown, <br />variable thickness generally greater than <br />4', little to insignificant organics. <br />r~ <br />S-I-5 <br />
