accomplished because of the open pit anr_1 underground nature of the mine.
• Most reclamation would not occur until completion of the mining
operation.
This also explains the great simplicity of the mining time-
table. The timetable can be summarized by saying first there will be
mining and then there will be reclamation. In the reclamation plan it
will he e~:plained that parts of higher level terraces will be
reclaimed, but they will only be islands of reclamation tk~at will be
joined to the final reclamation at the completion of the operation.
SUMP4ARY - Mining at the Snyder Quarry will be a combination of open pit
and underground mining. The pit will be expanded in a more or less
descending spiral fashion and will expose areas where pairs of hori2ontal
adits will be constructed for underground mining. A sight and sound
berm will be constructed early in the life of the mine. Y]ater drainage
• resulting from the mine will be non-existent or minimal because of
retention in the operation. Some reclamation of some areas of the
higher level terraces will be done when no longer needed, gut most of
the area will not be reclaimed until completion of the min=.
.
