The grading done on-site will be accomplished to minimize erosion and siltation. The
reclamation plan is designed to eliminate any off-site erosion.
'there aze no drill or auger holes on the mine site.
Water
There is no water involved in the proposed mining project. There are no surface streams on the
site nor is there any groundwater. There will be no ponds or open water surfaces left from the
mining operation.
Wild/ije
The mine site is located adjacent to a state highway. The specific site is not a unique habitat for
wildlife. There are no known endangered species that inhabit the mining area. The proposed
reclamation plan is not intended to create wildlife habitat.
Topsoiling
The proposed mining plan will salvage all available topsoil on the site and stockpile it sepazately
for~use in reclamation. The location of the proposed stockpiles are in an azea that will not be
disturbed by equipment, water or wind to the maximum degree practicable.
The mining area does not have an abundance of topsoil on the site. The amount that is available
will be used as efficiently as possible to promote a vigorous plant community.
Revegetatian
The proposed reclamation will provide for a diverse and vigorous plant community that will be
capable of regenerating itself in the future.
The proposed reclamation is for rangeland. The grading of the slopes is compatible with
livestock use and be easily traversed for grazing.
The revegetation plan has been established to be successful for a thriving plant community. The
proposed planting schedule is timed to be done in a cool weather period and will allow optimal
germination.
Weeds will be controlled using mechanical methods as the preferred control. If an invasion of
weeds occurs after reclamation, mowing will be done at times to inhibit reseeding of the specific
weed species. Alternate controls such as herbicides will be used if mechanical methods fail to
achieve control.
Whinnery Pil
DMG l lQ Pcanit Application
Page 5 of I4
