r <br />~ o~~b <br />..y <br />~. 4 ~.~ <br />H-G Coal Company Coal Loadout Alluvial <br />Ground Water Well Installation Plan <br />Ud~` ~ <br />H-G Coal Company will install two alluvial ground water monitoring <br />wells at its coal loadout facilities adjacent to Dry Creek. Prospective <br />drilling sites were previously located by Dave Craig of the Colorado <br />Mined Land Reclamation on October 22, 1981. The two well locations <br />were selected in such a manner as to monitor alluviai groundwater <br />up gradient and down gradient of loadout disturbances. The location <br />of the 2 drilling sites is shown on Exhibit 1. <br />The valley floor in and adjacent to the. drilling site is covered <br />with alluvium 12-18 feet thick and is underlain by the.Lewis Shale. <br />The monitoring wells will be drilled to the Lewis Shale with a <br />6" diameter drill and a slotted 2" I.D. PVC casing will be placed in <br />the hole. The bottom of the pipe will be capped and pea gravel will <br />~- <br />be placed around the entire length of pipe.
