EXHIBIT E - RECLAMATION PLAN
E.1 Reclaimed Land Use
Cotter Corporation will restore the affected land in accordance with the
M.L.R.B. reclamation performance standards and the D.O.E.'s lease require-
ments. The land will be reclaimed for range and wildlife habitat. The
open pit will be backfilled and regraded to insure slopes of approximately
2: 1, and reclaimed to woodland habitat. The flat to gently sloping
areas (4:1 slopes of less), will be reclaimed to rangeland and woodland
habitat (See Exhibit F). The rangeland habitat was chosen to meet the
Bureau of Land Management's request to increase the grazing land available
in the area. The woodland habitat was chosen to accommodate the D.O.E.'s
directive to return the land as closely as possible to the pre-mining
land use.
E.2 Pre- and Post-Mining Land Use
This area of Montrose County is zoned agricultural-open. The current
land use is predominantly mining and grazing. The proposed post-
mining land use of rangeland and woodland will improve forage and habitat
for domestic stock and wildlife.
E.3 Compliance with Reclamation Performance Standards
E.3.1 Grading

Grading will be conducted to create final contours that blends with
the surrounding topography which is appropriate to the reclamation plan
