• Reclamation work will proceed with little new topsoil capping. A north
facing bench will be added under present plans as well as a west facing
area in the pit reclamation effort. The Monogram Mesa road will
be relocated which may require vegetative stabilization of the road cut.
Year 5
The Phase II southern area of the pit will be the major excavation site
in year 5. Overburden will still be deposited in the waste dump area
but new topsoil capping is projected. Due to this fact no new reclamation
will be started but rather an intensive assessment of the existing test
plots will be undertaken.
Year 6
• This stage is primarily ore extraction with no new overburden operations
(Figure D.5-7).
Year 7
Continuing ore removal from the southern portion of the pit and additional
reclamation in the same area highlights this stage of production (Figure
D.5-8).
Year 8
Ore extraction is complete in the northern portion of the pit allowing
overburden backfilling in the seventh month. Some new reclamation sites
will be available both on the overburden pile and north pit areas.

D'6
