Mr. Crellin Scott
July 30, 2002
Page ; of 3
12. SEDCAD 4, Prospect TR-60 Emergency Spillway Freeboard Evaluation. The
Prospect Pond was assumed to be a Class B pond for a TR-60 emergency spillway
freeboard evaluation. The freeboard is adequate to withstand the runoff from the 100-
year. 6-hour rainfall plus 0.4 times the difference between the PMP-6-hour and the
100-year. 6-hour amount. The SEDCAD 4 analysis indicates the peak elevation will
approach to within 0.61 foot of the top of the embankment without overtopping.
The Prospect Pond is classified as a Class B stn~cture because of the location relative to
State Highway 13. Based on this evaluation, the Prospect Porid has a sufficient spillway and
freeboard to address the TR-60 design storm.
Sincerely,
-~ ~ /
C ~ //
Steve Linse,
Colorado P.E. 35005
Project Engineer
SL:sb
Enclosures
cc: Dale Brown
File: 99-642
•
W
WC Engineering
