CO 8164] <br />RE: Colowyo Impoundment Evaluation, Prospect Pond, 007A <br />Dear Mr. Scott: <br />WWC Engineering (WWC) has performed an evaluation of the Prospect Pond at the <br />request of Colowyo Coal Company. The evaluation was perforred following the outline of the <br />Streeter Gulch Pond evaluation submitted to you in March 2002. The objective of this exercise <br />was to evaluate compliance of the Prospect Pond with Section 4.05.9 of the Division of Minerals <br />and Geology regulations. <br />This submittal inclttdes the following attachments. <br />1. Reclamation Blocks Prospect Pond, 007A. This drawing depicts the post-mining <br />topography on which the pond evaluation was based, the Prospect watershed outline <br />and the reclamation blocks by year from which the worst-case drainage scenario was <br />developed. State Highway li and Good Spring Creek are also indicated. <br />2. Sedimentation Pond Redesign Prospect Pond, 007A. This drawing depicts the <br />post-mining topograph} and the SEDCAD 4 watershed dissection. <br />3. Pond Footprints Prospect Pond, 007A. This drawing shows the locations of post- <br />mining ponds. The post-minine ponds include Pond G. Pond J and Pond h which <br />have a combined capacit} of 1~~7 ac-ft.
