Main Offce <br />The main office for the Colowyo operation is located in Section 23, Township 4 North, <br />Range 93 West. The office building was constructed in 1977 and contains approximately <br />9,000 square feet. The office houses Colowyo's administration, engineering, environmental. <br />accounting, and payroll departments. Refer to Exhibit 13 Appendix D (pages D-18 through <br />D-22). <br />Records Retention/Trainine Center/Visitor Center <br />This building is located in 523, T4N, R93W and historically served as the main <br />administration building. The building was constructed in 1977 and has a footprint of <br />approximately 9,000 square feet. The building serves as a location for long term records <br />retention, training center, and visitor center. Refer to Exhibit 13 Appendix D (pages D18 <br />through D22). <br />Shops, Warehouse Facility, Chance/Production Facility <br />Colowyo maintains several shops, a warehouse facility, and change production building at <br />the operation covering approximately 30 acres in S34, T4N, R93W. <br />Mechanical repair work on the mobile mining equipment fleet is performed at the shop <br />facility and in the field. A welding facility and tire bay is also a part of the shop facility. The <br />warehouse contains an inventory of equipment pars for use in the comprehensive <br />• maintenance program. The warehouse yard also provides storage of the larger parts due to <br />limited covered building space. Employees use the change facility/production building in <br />this location before and after their shift to change either into their work clothes or back into <br />their street clothing. Shower facilities are provided in the change complex. Additional <br />structw~es in the complex include a diesel fueling and gasoline fueling station for both the <br />large mobile mine equipment and the mine pickup truck fleet, a tank farm building and <br />numerous above ground storage tanks.. Mobile equipment and employee parking areas are <br />also provided at the complex. Several coal stockpile areas as shown on Map 22A are found <br />near the shop facility to provide for temporary storage of the coal. A reclamation storage <br />building, sign storage building, potable water treatment plant, powder magazines, and a <br />temporary hazardous waste storage facility are also located in this area.
