6.4.4 Exhibit D -Mining Plan <br />Nature of Deposit <br />The overburden occurs at an average thickness of 7 feet. The sand and gravel <br />deposit occurs at an average thickness of 15 ft. The overburden is composed of <br />an average 0.5 ft of loam followed by silty and clayey sand to sandy and silty <br />clay. <br />The maximum depth of mining will be 30 feet, with 2H:1 V slopes for any pit walls <br />adjacent to a slurry wall; and 0.5H:1 V elsewhere. <br />Underlying Stratum <br />The sand and gravel is underlain by shale. <br />Commodities <br />The primary commodities are sand and gravel.
