Disruption of natural vegetation within two-hundred (200) <br />feet of a water course or riparian area is prohibited, unless [he <br />Board approves a lesser distance upon a finding that no adverse <br />impacts will result. <br />F. Damage to any public, private, residential, or agricultural <br />water supply source is prohibited. <br />G. Adverse impacts to any environmental system such as <br />acquifers, landslide or avalanche prone areas, flood plains, riparian <br />areas, or wildlife habitat of significance to the County, region, or <br />nation is prohibited. <br />H. Toxic waste shall be disposed of pursuant to an approved <br />toxic waste disposal plan approved by the County. <br />9. Operations are governed by Code Section 3-250.60A, General Operational <br />Standards, which provides as follows: <br />This section contains general operational standards applicable to <br />mineral exploration, mining, sand and gravel pits, rock crushers, <br />concrete batch plants and asphalt hot-mix plants, oil and gas <br />drilling, surface mining, open pit mining and subsurface and <br />specific operational standards for sand and gravel ,pits, rock <br />crushers, concrete batch plants and asphalt hot-mix plants; and oil <br />and gas drilling. <br />A. General Operational Standards: The general operational <br />standards in this section apply to Mineral exploration, sand and <br />gravel pits, rock crushers, concrete batch plants and asphalt hot- <br />mix plants, oil and gas drilling, surface mining, open pit mining <br />ahd subsurface mining. . <br />1. Excavation shall not be permitted closer than ten (10) feet <br />to the boundary of an adjacent property, easement, irrigation ditch <br />or right-of-way. The Board may require a greater distance, when <br />justified. <br />2. Equipment shall be located to minimize nuisance e~•racls <br />sucn as noise and dust. <br />
