CURD <br />MANAG ER, PROPE RTY TAXES <br />Pursuant to the rules and regulations of the Colorado Mined Land <br />Reclamation Board and the "Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Act" of <br />1976, H. B. No. 1065, The Denver and Rio Grande Western Railroad <br />Company has been given notice by the Mountain Mobile Mix, main <br />office address being Post Office Box 517, Frisco, Colorado, 80443, <br />that they have applied to the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation <br />Board for an application to conduct a surface mining operation <br />for sand and gravel from an open pit on lands located within Lots <br />1 and 2 of Section 15, Township 6 South, Range 93 West, of the <br />6th P. M., and a part of the Sp SEA of Section 10, Township 6 <br />South, Range 93 West, of the 6th P. M., Garfield County, Colorado. <br />Because the proposed mining property is adjacent to our Railroad <br />Company main line right-of-way between Glenwood Springs and Grand <br />Junction, Colorado, and because this particular area of our line <br />is designated as frequent heavy-duty, heavy-tonnage track, on <br />which speeds of up to sixty (60) miles per hour are reached by <br />both freight and passenger trains, may we respectfully request <br />that, when the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board meets to con- <br />sider the subject application, the following conditions set forth <br />in this letter be incorporated in the proceeding, and that the <br />actual granting of the application be made subject to these con- <br />ditions, so that the proposed mining operation will not adversely <br />
