<br /> <br />Protests for Cause for Espausiou - Miniug Outside Permitted Areas <br />* As we understand the situation Siloam Stone was found to be in violation by operating outside the area <br />currently permitted by the State of Colorado. <br />* In order to bring this violation into compliance, Siloam Stone was told by the state to simply increase its area <br />of permit to include the azea in violation. <br />* This appears to be an illogical and even unjust response to a violation of a state permit. If a citizen of the <br />State of Colorado were found to be speeding in violation of a preset speed limit on a state highway, would the <br />state then simply ask that the speed limit be increased so that the driver were no longer in violation? We think <br />not, and ask that our county, Pueblo County, would view this violation in a more appropriate light than did the <br />state. <br />
