It is <br />our understanding the cuts and fills for this project may con- <br />flict with existing features, to include the Somerset Cemeter}•. <br />This study investigated options which could reduce the required <br />cut and fill, with the emphasis on utilizing on-site materials. <br />STABILITY ANALYSIS <br />A slope stability analysis was perfor,ned <br />for the proposed cuts and fills, assuming a minimum factcr of <br />safety of 1.3. Geotechnical characteristics of the cut and fill <br />material was determined by laborator}• testing of samples obtained <br />on this site. Previous test data from soils and rocks in the <br />North Fork Valley, to include information from the report by <br />Westec, project number 95255, dated October, 1996, were utilized <br />to approximate the changeable subsurface conditions. <br />4 <br />
