EXHIBIT D -MINING PLAN
a) Mining has previously occurred on site under Permit Nos. M-2003-011 and
M-2003-047 as indicated on Exhibit C-1. This area will be used as our
staging, crushing and stockpile area initially. Mining will be done into the
face, as indicated on Exhibit C-2, with afront-end loader. Crushing will
take place on site intermittently and afront-end loader and/or dozer will
feed the crusher. Mining will be from the west to the east.
b) Stripping of overburden and topsoil will be done with a dozer or scraper.
Topsoil will be removed first and placed in a separate pile from the
overburden.
c) A sediment pond will be maintained throughout the entirety of the 112
permit as indicated on Exhibit C-3.
d) As the highwall of gravel is mining back, we will continue to move our
crusher and stockpiles eastward to be in close proximity of the highwall of
gravel as indicated in Exhibit C-3. This will allow us to begin reclamation
on the west side of the permit area as mining continues. This will allow us
to keep the disturbed area to 15 or less acres with on ongoing mining and
reclamation operation.
e) This operation only has one phase. Mining and reclamation will be
continues to maintain an area of 15 acres or less. We anticipate the life of
the mine to be 10 years but will depend on the road and construction
market in the area. A crushing contractor will be brought in intermittently
as needed, depending on stockpile sales. The affected land will be used
for less than one hundred eighty days per year.
f) The NRCS indicates that there is approximately 0-3 inches of plant growth
medium, 3-15 inches of overburden, and 3-48 inches of construction sand
and gravel. The stratum immediately beneath the deposit is weathered
bedrock.
g) The primary commodities are gravel and sand for road and construction
material.
h) No incidental products are expected.
No explosives will be used.
