EXHIBIT E -RECLAMATION PLAN
a) There is little brush, topsoil, or overburden on these gravel deposits. In
some pockets it is deeper than the other areas. The amount that is there
will be collected, put in separate topsoil and overburden piles, and
respread over the disturbed areas as mining is completed. Replacement
of overburden and topsoil will be done with a dozer or scraper.
b) All adjacent properties are rangeland. Prior to mining, this property was
rangeland, and after mining it will be reclaimed to rangeland.
c) The mining area is a top of a hill. There will be no highwall left. As
indicated by the contours in Exhibit F, the edges will be shaped to a final
slope of 3:1 or flatter.
d) After the brush topsoil mixture has been spread over the disturbed area,
we will seed that area with a mixture of grass seed. All 60 acres will be
drill seeded with the rangeland seed mix attached as Exhibit E-1 as
recommended by the NRCS. As recommended by the DMG, fertilizer,
weed free mulch, and crimping will be done once seeded.
e) The property only contains one phase. Mining and reclamation will be
continuous to maintain an area of 15 acres or less.
f) To provide a rooting zone for vegetation, reclamation will be done by first
spreading any overburden high in caliche, then overburden and crusher
fines to10-12 inches above bedrock and finally 0.5-3 inches of topsoil.
g) No trees or shrubs will be planted.
h) Sediment pond will remain in place after reclamation.
The fence separating the Royster and Seely properties will be replaced in
the original location once mining and reclamation are completed.
