ARCADtS <br />Culture History and Previous Work <br />A files search was conducted through the Colorado Office of Archaeology and <br />Historic Preservation (OAHP) on October 27, 2006, and the records of the <br />BLM Uncompahgre Field Office were also checked. The OAHP record search <br />indicated that there have been 17 previous investigations in the legal sections <br />containing the project area. BLM records included an additional recent <br />investigation in the area. Twenty-three cultural resource sites and 22 isolated <br />finds (IFs) have been documented by these investigations. Table 1 lists <br />previous cultural resource investigations within or near the project area, and <br />Table 2 lists known sites.
