Gravel reserves will be mined with an e;:cavatar ~,r~d loaded <br />on haul units to be transported to thr pr-ocec~sing areas. <br />E:xplorat.ory tests have indicated that varying sires of <br />gravels will. be encountered during mining operations. l"hi.s <br />material may be separated accordingly and transported to <br />the proper- processi.ny area and stor_4:p.i.led. If unsuitable <br />material is encountered during mining operation=., sur_h as <br />overburden, the material will 6e separated at the e;:cava- <br />tion and will be used as bac)::fiil.l for the pit e:;cavations. <br />Mining operations may be benched t.o make full util.i..cation <br />of the e:<isti.ng gravel. reserves. Benching will. be deter- <br />mined by the depth of the gravel reserves and safety <br />factors. <br />The e;;cavated interior pit slope shall be a minimum of 3:1 <br />from e~;.isting ground to ten fleet below water and 2:.1 yrad.i- <br />ent from there to the bottom ofi the e::cavat.ion. Perimeters <br />of the pond area at. nr near r•~ater level may be "flattened" <br />to create addi.ti.one.l wetlands areas. <br />F. There will be 'two main operations to occur on site. C)nr= <br />shall. be a crushing and screening operation that will <br />include a r_omrnercial crusher set-up w.ii.h rn.iscellineous <br />conveyors and screens. -(he other will be a wash plant set- <br />up that will include conveyors and screens. O'ther <br />operations may be set. up for specialised material <br />processing. These may .include: <br />1. A screening plant consisting of a conveyor and screen. <br />2. A portable commercial asphalt plant. <br />_.
