of loam topsoil and a brownish clay subsoil. Some weathered
shale occurs also.
Road to Drill Sites #11 and {~11a
This road is located in a bottom area. There will not
. be any problem reclaiming the area.
Road to Drill Site #12 and #12A
This road was divided into three segments for evaluation.
Segment Jj1 has shallow cut slopes in topsoil material. This
segment should reclaim without problem. Segment #2 contains
shallow to moderately deep soils over weathered bedrock.
There is some exposed bedrock. Segment ~3 has shallow cut
slopes in colluvial or topsoil materials and should present
no problems to reclamation. Sample #13 was obtained from
drill site #12A.
Road to Drill Site #13
The switchbacks are mostly shallow soils over sandstone
or shale. The cut slopes have exposed bedrock and the fill
elopes contain a good soil mix. The roadbed contains enough
soil for revegation and has some colluvial deeper soils in
a concave position. The remainder of the road from the mine
has fill slopes that are well vegetated. Some of cut slopes
may need .,~me revegetation. The roadbed contains adequate
soil for revegetation.
