The Jerry soils are deep, well-drained soils occurring
on the lower portions of steep mountain slopes adjacent to
drainageways.
The soils in this unit are rated poor to fair to a depth
of 36 inches for use as topsoil material because of the amount
of coarse fragments in the surface hori2on and the clay
texture of the subsoil. This topsoil material may be
difficult to salvage due to the steepness of the. slopes.
