Dear Bob:
Here is the balance ofi the information requested in your ad-
equacy letter of 1/11/94:
1. Air Pollution Control refers to an annual production rate
of 70,000 TPY or less. Is this what production will be? I
found no other references to it in the application.
A 112 Permit does not limit annual tonnage as does a 110, and
I do not find in the regs where the applicant is required to
state tonnages. None were stated in the application. This
will be a comparatively low volume clay mine and 70,000 TPY
would be an unusually high level of production.
2. Pre-mining Map changes. Statement addressing potential
damage to and liability for the existing signifiicant man-made
structures which includes power lines, landowners' fences,
culverts, gates, fiield terrace and county bridges.
Corrected map with power lines north of the road was submit-
ted earlier. The applicant understands that they could be
liable for damage to the significant, listed man-made struc-
tures. This operation will be conducted so as to prevent
damage to any of those structures and appropriate bufifers
will be left if necessary. For instance, a setback from the
power poles will prevent them being stranded on inaccessible
islands as seen in some other operations.
3. Mining Map - best estimation of details for the depth and
direction of mining, stockpile locations, buffer areas, etc.
for the west area (Phase II & III). Show Access Points, road
culverts on the map.
