BANTA, Dlreetor <br />June 24, 1988 <br />Mr. David Stout <br />Environmental Coordinator <br />Wyoming Fuel Company <br />12055 W. 2nd Place <br />Lakewood, Colorado 80215 <br />Re: Golden Eagle Mine (Permit No. C-81-013) Final Approval, Technical <br />Revision No. 7, Use of Chemical Additive to Treat Discharge <br />Dear Mr. Stout: <br />Following a formal public hearing conducted, June 24, 1988, on the decision by <br />the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division to approve proposed Technical <br />Revision No. 7, referenced above, to the permit of the Golden Eagle Mine, the <br />Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board does grant final approval of Technical <br />Revision No. 7 which shall become immediately effective as prescribed by Rule <br />2.08.4 (5 )(b)(ii) of the Regulations of the Colorado (dined Land Reclamation <br />Board for Coal Mining. <br />The conditions of the Board's final approval of Technical Revision No. 7 are: <br />1. The use of the flocculent identified as NALCO ENACT 7883 for <br />treatment of the mine water at Golden Eagle Mine is limited to <br />Phase 2 of the Demonstration Project described in the proposal made <br />for Technical Revision No. 7 by Wyoming Fuel Company and to the <br />interim period extending from the conclusion of Phase 2 until the <br />incorporation of Ponds 05 and O6 into the mine water treatment <br />system. <br />2.
