Fm-~,st, grazing and other uses
cannot be justified because of adverse soil types and local
land use plans.
RECLAMATION STANDARDS
The reclamation plan will be implemented to meet each
applicable requirement of reclamation standards in 34-32-116,
CRS 1973 Rev. in the following manner:
(b) At the present time there is a dike near the north
property line and down the west side of the Lowline Ditch.
The dike is designed to protect the area from a repetition
of the 1965 flood damage. The dike on the north end will be
moved further north to border the north property line. Regrad-
ing and reshaping of the dike will be a part of the reclama-
tion work. The dike will be broad on top with slopes ~f
approximately 5;1 on the lake side to facilitate reveg~tation.
The slope will be blended into the flat zone around th~a lake
which in turn will blend into the 3:1 slope along the water
line of the lake. The area lying east of the dike will remain
undisburbed and will not be graded or revegetated. Liltewise,
on the west side of the east lake a small dike will be built
for flood protection and will be shaped and graded in i;he
same manner. The area west of the dike and up to the bowline
Ditch will be undisturbed and will not be graded or revegetated.
It is not expected that any other grading will be nece:osary.
This is a dredge operation in a wet pit, and the proper
slopes will be maintained by placing waste fines back in the
water and shaping the banks as operations proceed.
7
