If such regulations are not complied with, the Board of County Commissioners may order such mining activity to cease and desist. Scheduling of Application Consideration Once the Planning Department has received four copies of a complete application that conforms to all applicable Land Use Code requirements, the Planning Department can schedule the application for consideration by the Planning Commission at a public hearing,. The Planning Commission holds regular meetings the second Wednesday of each month. The Planning Department may also refer the application for comment and recommendation to the County Environmental Health Specialist, the County Road Superintendent and the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board. In accordance with San Miguel County Board of Commissioners Resolution #1991-70, an application review fee of $250 for a one- step review payable to the San Miguel County Treasurer must accompany the submission for the application to be considered complete. The applicant will be responsible for mailing notice to all owners of property within 300 feet of the subject property and for posting a sign (obtained from the Planning Department) in a conspicuous location on the subject property at least 15 days prior to the hearing before the Planning Commission. The Planning Department will be responsible for causing notice of such public hearing to be published in the Telluride Times- Journal at least 30 days prior to such public hearing.
