The <br />amendment involves completion of up to two additional geotechnical test holes, which may <br />also be completed and sampled as hydrologic monitoring wells. The locations of the proposed <br />additional test holes are shown on the accompanying revised map. <br />The information provided in the original NOI Application (11/10/98), including the <br />descriptions of Lands to Be Affected and Drilling and Related Activities, is also applicable to <br />the proposed additional test holes. In conjunction with drilling and completion activities, core, <br />chip, or cutting samples will be collected from the drillholes and analyzed to characterize <br />• surficial and underlying alluvial/colluvial and rock materials; and geotechnical characteristics <br />and conditions. In order to provide complete documentatron for both the approved and <br />proposed drilling and related activities, Oxbow Mining, Inc. (OMI) has reviewed and revised, as <br />appropriate, the NOI Application package. Copies of revised information accompany this <br />transmittal for your reference, review and Eiles. Revisions include modification of the bond <br />reclamation cost estimate which must be incremented for the two additional test holes. Please <br />review the accompanying information and contact me with any questions or concerns.
