Maintenance procedures for the dam, embankments, ditches and spillways, <br />such as cutting of vegetative growth where necessary [o facilitate inspection <br />' and repairs, cleaning of ditches and spillways, and removal of all combustible <br />material present on the surface (other than vegetation or mulch) should he <br />submitted as required by Section S16.49(g). <br />' 16. If, during the course of mining operations, previously unidentified <br />cultural resources are discovered, the applicant sliali ensure that the site is <br />' no[ disturbed and shall notify the regulatory authority. The operator shall <br />ensure that the resource(s) is properly evaliw[ed in terms of the National <br />Register of historic Places eligibility criteria (36 CFR 60.6). Should a <br />resource be determined eligible for listing, the operator shall consult with <br />' and obtain the approval of the regulatory authority and the Colorado SFIPO <br />concerning the development and implementation of mitigation measures as <br />appropriate. Activities shall nut resume until tliesc measures have been <br />' completed and approved. <br />17. No widening of the existing mine access haul road (8LM right-of-way) will <br />• be allowed unless approved by the regulatory authority. A11 vehicular <br />' traffic, personnel movement, and construction activities will be confined to <br />this existing road, other existing access roads, and [he revised mine plan <br />area. <br />' l8. The company shall instruct their personnel [hat it is a violation of <br />Federal and State laws to collect individual artifacts or to otherwise disturb <br />' cultural re sou rues.
