The area to be mind does not include <br />tl,e entire six (6) acres of affected area as stated in tl, application to tl,e <br />Mined Land Reclamation Board. Tl,e proposed sandpit open tion would consist <br />of one medium-sized robber-tired front-end loader to a -ract and load t},e <br />sand and only one medium-sized damp tnick would be loaded on t}ie site at any <br />given time. '1'},ere would be no more than five material ,aulinq track trips <br />per day from t},e site. No crushing, processing, or stock piling of materials <br />is to ocettr on tl,e site. T1,e total volume of extracted material is not to <br />exceed five t},ousand (5,000) ct,bic yards per year. There is to be no storage <br />of equipment or mac},inery on t},e site, except t},e loader uring mining opera- <br />tions. operations would be confined to periods of low ater in tl,e Animas <br />River, daring daylight. l,ottrs, and in no event earlier t.1,a 7:30 a.m, or later <br />than 6:30 p.m. Monday tlirottgh Saturday, No permanent or emporary structures <br />or improvements of any type are to be built or located o tl,e site. Access <br />to t},e operation would be limited to a single graveled ccess off of U. S. <br />I11g}iway 550. There are to be no operations below tl,e water line of ti,e <br />Animas River or any other type of activity wl,icl, would r quire a 404 permit <br />from t},e U. S.
