Page 9 <br />6. <br />7. <br />- Coal spills and accumulation of coal dust will be <br />cleaned up regularly. <br />- Transformers will be checked monthly for leaks. <br />e. Spill Prevention and Response Procedures - The Spill <br />Prevention Control and Countermeasures Plan (SPCC) <br />prepared for the industrial wastewater discharge permit <br />will be followed for the areas specific to this SWMP. As <br />noted in other sections of this plan, the potential for <br />spills on these area is minimal. <br />f. Best Management Plan - Drainage control for each area is <br />include in Section 5.b. Rink Identification and <br />Assessment. <br />g. Employee Education - Regular safety meetings are given to <br />the employees on a weekly basis. Twice a year one of <br />these meetings will be devoted to the SWMP and the SPCC <br />plan. <br />h. Testing for Non-etormwater - Except for the areas where <br />straw bales, vegetation or gravel are the only means of <br />sediment control, the areas subject to this plan are non- <br />discharging structures and therefore not applicable to <br />testing. The areas subject to stormwater discharge <br />include the reclaimed CRDA 1 topsoil stockpiles, the <br />access roads to the UTL and RSN, the A and B substations <br />and the No. 2 West Portals substation and road. There <br />are no sources of non-stormwater discharge on these <br />sites. I hereby certify that I am thoroughly familiar <br />with these sites where stormwater is not totally <br />contained and that no non-stormwater discharges occur at <br />these sites / f <br />Signs ~/~~l~L,~~ Larry M. Reschke, PE. <br />Comprehensive {mepection - A complete inspection will be made <br />of each of the sites covered by this SWMP twice a year, in the <br />spring and fall. Inspections will be carried out by a <br />qualified person designated by the operator who is familiar <br />with the design and function of the controls at each site. <br />The inspection will include and evaluation of whether the <br />control measures meet the design requirements and whether they <br />are functioning properly. The inspection will also include an <br />evaluation compliance with the preventive maintenance, good <br />housekeeping, SPCC, and best management practice practices <br />portions of this SWMP. <br />Recordkeepiag and Internal Reporting procedures - A book will <br />be maintained at the mine site for recording inspection <br />information gathered under Item 6. of this plan.
