Page 5
RSN Access Road - Approximately 570 feet of road from the
county road past the Coal Creek dip section. This disturbance
amounts to approximately 0.5 acres.
3. Site Map
Map A is a 300 scale map of the major surface disturbance
areas. Most of the disturbance areas are covered by our
industrial wastewater discharge permit and little detail is
given within these areas. The heavy solid lines represent
area included in this plan. The majority of our stormwater
control outside of the permitted discharge areas is controlled
by total containment. Inset in the corner of this map is a
location map showing a 2000 scale map showing the disturbance
sites relative to section lines.
Map B is a 100 scale map of the No. 2 West Portal area. This
area is located approximately two miles south of the RSS
disturbance area.
Map C is a 100 scale map of the South Fan area. This area is
located approximately a mile south of the RSS disturbance
area.
4. Description of Potential Pollutant Sources/Material
Inventory
a. Inventory and description of significant materials
The majority of significant materials on the mine site are
stored, treated or disposed of within drainage areas covered
by our industrial wastewater discharge permit and are covered
by a SPCC plan associated with the permit. Small amounts of
lubricants are used with transfer buildings along the overland
conveyor and on conveyor rollers. Coal is a raw product of
this operation and therefore by definition a significant
material. Coal is transported across the overland conveyor
areas listed in Section 2. The overland conveyor is partially
covered minimizing the potential for stormwater contact. Each
of the substations include non-PCB oil filled transformers and
switch gear.
b. Significant spills within the past 3 years - None
c. Potential stormwater pollutants - Contribution of
sediment is the only significant potential pollutant to
stormwater in areas not covered by our industrial wastewater
discharge permit.
d. Summary of existing stormwater monitoring - None
