PART 1:
Page No. 11
Permit No. C~D-0032115
B. MONITORING REQUIREMENTS
1. Freauercv and Sample Tvce (continued)
(d) Oil and Grease Moritorina
For every duffel) with oil end grease monitoring, in the event en oil sheen or floating oil is obre~rved., s grab sample shall
be collected, analyzed, and reported on the appropriate DMR. Io addition, corrective action shall be Taken im~i•~aly to
mitigate the discharge of oil a~ grease. A description of the corrective aMion faked should be inchrded with the DMR.
2. Srrettial Conditions - Outtall 011
Discharges at the flow measuring poim for this duffel) mad only be sampled measured when the discharge is from the final
sediment pond.
In addition, the perminee will be required W submit all data collected on the seep flow vohrmes s< OI 1. on m ongoing basis to
be submitted as a separate attachment with the DMRs.
3. Salinity Parameters
In order to obtain m indication of rho quantity of Salinity being discharged from the site, the permittee shall monitor the
wastewater effluent at rho following frequency:
u0 Nalk Freauencv Sample Tvoe
001, 002, 003, 005, 006, 008, 009, 0I0, 011 Quarterly Grab
012, 013, 014, 015, 016, 017, 018, 019, 020, 021, 022, 023, 024
C. DEFINITIONS OF TERMS
1. 'Acute Toxicity' moans there shall ba rte ands toxicity in the effluent from this discharge point. The anus tonicity limitation
is ezcoeded if 1) a statistically significant difference in tnortaiiry (at the 95% confidence Ievel) is observed for either species
between the control and any dilution less that m equal to the identified IWC or 2) a species mortaliry in any dilution of effluent
(inchrding 100% eflltreat) exceeds 50%.
2. 'Composite' sample is a mirrirmw of four (4) garb samples collected at equally spaced two (2) hour intervals and proportioned
according to flow.
3. '['...,.'.., ' messuramaot, is a measurement obfaimd from m automatic recording devin: which continually treasures
provides measurements.
4. 'Daily hSan'~~m limituion' moans the limitation for this parameter shell be applied as as i++~*n~r•++~+~~s maximum (or, for pH
or DO, instaataneats tnini®rm) value. The mstemaneoua value is defured as the analytical result of any individual sample.
DMRs shall include the maxitntm (and/or minims®) of all ;n•*•~en+~+~r• values within the caloadar month. Any insta~aneous
value beyond the noted daily maxi®ffi IimAation for the irdinuad parameter shall be considered a violazion of this permit.
S. 'Grab' sample, is a single 'dip a~ take' temple so as to be representative of the parameter being monitored.
6. 'Lt-situ' maesuremeat is defined es a single reading, observation or messuremert takes in the field az the point of discharge or
in the laboratory within ore-half' hour aRer collection.
7. 'Iasm.,r•....•,s• ~ a single trading, observation, or measurement performed on site using; existing monitoring
facilities.
Amendment No. 1 Tssuad MAY 30 1997 Effective JiTL 1 1997
Ammdmeat No. 3 Issued OCT 26 1998 Effxtive D:EC 11998
Amendment No. 4 Issued Effective
