They were not included in
the permit application to minimize the size of the application and to avoid
releasing site specific information to the public.
THE CULTURAL RESOURCES MAP MUST PROVIDE A KEY TO CLARIFYING SURVEY AREA, MINE
PLAN, AND LEASE AREA BOUNDARIES.
U Map No. 3 of the Mining Permit Application has been revised to indicate legends
for the mine plan and lease area boundaries. These data are indicated on Maps 1
and 2 of the Mining Permit Application. The entire area enclosed by the solid
and dashed line boundaries on Map No. 3 xas covered by the archaeological
survey.
INCLUDE DRILL HOLE LOGS WITH FORMATION CONTACTS AND COAL SEAMS INDICATED.
PROVIDE COLLAR ELEVATIONS UNDER 783.14(a)(1)(ii).
Formation contacts, coal seams and drill collar elevations are provided on the
drill logs shown in the illustrations.
THE DIP CROSS-SECTION SHOULD BE EXTENDED TO INCLUDE HOLES FARTHER EAST.
ISOPACHS OF THE COAL SEAMS TO BE MINED AND THE AREAS OF MINEABLE COAL SHOULD HE
INDICATED. PROVIDE AN ISOPACH OF THE INTERBURDEN INTERVAL AND OVERBURDEN
THICKNESS. THE SUBJECT OF JOINTS SHOULD BE ADDRESSED. THE RESULTS OF A JOINT
SURVEY SHOULD BE INCLUDED. A PRESUBSIDENCE SURVEY SHOULD BE CONDUCTED AND
SHOULD IDENTIFY AND EXISTING STRUCTURES THAT COULD BE AFFECTED BY SUBSIDENCE.
The dip cross-section extends along the dip to the limit of the Mine Permit
Application area. Additional information along the dip has only recently been
acquired from drilling in the Exploration Permit Aree to the east. As of this
time that information has not been correlated xith the mine permit area.
Western Fuels submitted a report entitled "Additional Geological Data" to the
Office of Surface Mining and to the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board in
O July 1980. Seven copies were given to OSM and five to the CMLRB. This report
10-80 t 5
