Two Rivers Pit
Exhibit C S ~
Mining Plan
a. We plan to start mining approximately March 15, 1998 and
end at the completion of the Pueblo Airport project.
b. A minimum of the top 6 inches of topsoil will be stockpiled in
the area shown on Exhibit E. This topsoil will be reapplied to
this mined area after mining ceases.
c. We do not anticipate any overburden other than topsoil.
d. The area to be mined will be 0 to 30 feet deep.
e. There will be processing on site such as screening, crushing,
concrete batch plant, and asphalt plant.
f. Please see Exhibit E map.
g. The existing road will be utilized from the permit area to the
existing State Highway 50. Please see Exhibit A map. The
existing road is 1800 feet long. The road will only require
blading and water for dust control.
h. Minimal water will be needed for dust control. This water will
be obtained from Carl Pantaleo wells. Washing is not
anticipated, but if needed, water will also be obtained from
Carl Pantaleo.
i & j. Ground water or surface water will not be intercepted or
disturbed within the boundaries of the 111 permitted area.
k. We do not anticipate any acid or toxic producing material will
be exposed during mining.
1. Slopes 3:1 or flatter will be constructed to eliminate erosion.
Berms and silt fences will be used to prevent off-site
drainage.
m. Deposits may be screened, crushed, processed into base course,
asphalt, or concrete.
n. Primary products will be base course and asphalt aggregate.
Secondary use will be borrow.
o. Natural fines and crusher fines may be used as borrow or placed
back over mined area.
