<br />Two Rivers Pit <br />Site Description <br />Exhibit B S~ <br />a. The vegetation on the pit site consists primarily of grasses <br />including blue grama, sideoats grama, muhly, sand dropseed, <br />hairy tridehns, galleta and red threeawn. Forbs and shrubs in <br />the area include sand sage, small soapweed, plains pricklypear, <br />broom snakeweed and sand sagebrush. <br />The soils found on this site are Cascajo very gravelly sandy <br />loam, 5 to 25 percent slopes and Otero sandy loam, 1 to 5 <br />percent slopes. These soils will be the primary soils for <br />gravel extraction. <br />b. The permanent man-made structures within 200 feet of the <br />affected are as follows: <br />An existing fence running along the west side and <br />north side of the pit area. The fence is owned by Carl <br />Pantaleo. <br />A West Plains Electric power line running along the <br />north side of the pit area. <br />An existing stock pond located in the east half of the <br />pit area. <br />c. It is not anticipated that ground water will be intercepted or <br />wetlands affected by this activity. <br />
