A concrete inlet
' weir will be constructed at the proper height (existing ditch elevation) to pass
flows into the mined pond without allowing headward erosion. A concrete
outlet weir will be constructed at the proper height (existing ditch elevation) to
' pass flows unimpeded offsite into the existing ditch and onto the Arkansas
' River, as has historically occurred. No chan e_to_incoming_ouLfsite flow_---
rates will occur due to mining of Phase 4. If an NPDES discharge permit is
required in order to pass drainage flows through the mining pond and onto1he
' Arkansas River, it will be obtained at that time.
5. The final mining activity in this location of the permit area will be to remove
the portable gravel plant, scale house and asphalt plant and mine the area
I
' once occupied by these structures. Remaining raw aggregate will be trucked
offsite to another location for processing.
' 6. Final reclamation will create an approximate 142-acre lake.
South Borrow Pit Area
' 1. No processing is to occur at this location as this area is to be mined for fill
' only. No screening or washing of the excavated material will occur. In any
previously undisturbed locations within the South Borrow Pit Area, a scraper
will initially remove and stockpile any topsoil/overburden to be used for
reclaiming of the excavated pit. There is a pre-existing overburden stockpile
that was created from topsoil removed from this site by a former owner. Any
' removed topsoil will be added onto this pile.
' 17
