Assume 14 <br />months, 3 shifts/day, five days/wk. <br />Hauls from present long term spoil dumps to last strip in A & B pits are to long for <br />scrapers. Smaller equipment similar to that used by OSM in their example was <br />• chosen. Spoil ridge reduction will not be required as Coors, with its extended <br />bench mining method, flattens the nearest spoil pile to AOC soon after placement. <br />There will be roads to maintain as well as rough and final grading on the topsand, <br />so, both motorgrader and dozer will be needed for life of project. <br />The use of rubber tired loading equipment has been found to be unsatisfactory in <br />the Keenesburg environment, therefore, an 8.5 CY tracked hydraulic shovel has <br />been chosen, similar to the one presently on the property. <br />* Assumes Pit 24A has been backfilled, leaving the A-B cut and last strips in A Pit <br />and B Pit to be filled. <br />• <br />118 <br />
