reasonable until a better determination can be made of how much topsand is
• available for the final reclamation areas.
A manure mulch will be applied at 30 tons/acre. After manure spreading, the
approved seed mix will be drilled through the m anure mulch. Seeding will be
from~April 1 to May 1. The seed mixture that is being used is:
Rate in Lbs. No one component of the above should comprise greater than 40%
relative importance nor less than 3% relative importance.
CEC will continue to monitor revegetation in August. The established Osgood
reference site and all plantings that have experienced three growing seasons will be
monitored until such time as success standards for cover, production, and diversity
have been attained. These areas will also be monitored in years nine and ten before
final bond release.
CEC estimates the number of samplings that will meet adequacy requirements for a
given years monitoring, then divides the area into a 100' grid pattern, assigns
consecutive numbers to each grid line intersection and takes a list of random
numbers to determine which quadrant sites will be monitored. At least 10 samples
from the reference area and 15 samples for post-mine sample areas will be taken.
•
115 5/96
